The Life of a Makeup Artist

Last year, I completed a makeup course at Lisof. While completing the course, I bought a Mac Cosmetics kit, although my love affair with Mac started when I was about 16. I have recently received my certification and have started to work as a freelance makeup artist.

I now make house calls for special occasion makeup, which is really fun. I charge very competitive prices, starting at R350 and have created some social network accounts (Facebook, Makeupsocial, Instagram, Pinterest) under my makeup pseudo name, Shazzy Chic. So far, I have had a handful of bookings made and I hope this continues to increase.

Thanks to the internet and all of its platforms, gaining exposure is relatively easy. Are you a makeup artist? If so, what tips do you have for someone starting out? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I’ve also attached some images of my work.

ThanQ for reading this post =) xX
