Fashion Flair

Fashion has the ability to tell a story. This look is simplistic, formal and most of all, intrepid with some fashion flair. The story it tells is reflective of myself and where I want to be.

My fashion sense is eccentric. One day I’m wearing Converse sneakers, the next I’m in heels. My main infatuation when it comes to fashion is shoes; heels to be more specific. The ones I’m wearing here are a classic go-to for me. They work with many outfits, are appropriate for formal occasions while the straps elongate my legs.

Red lipstick is one of my all time favourite makeup looks. I channel that with this outfit as it provides a bold injection of colour. Red is a colour that can be worn by anyone, all you need to do is find the correct shade and formula that works best for you.

The dress I’m wearing is fitted and features a monotone print. It is a versatile piece that is represented well by the industrial style background. The black panels on the sides create an hourglass figure, complementary to the strap in the heels. The body con effect is offset by the high neckline and sleeves. It also complements the strap in the heels.

The earrings pictured here tell a story of their own. They were a gift from my sister that she purchased when visiting a market in Vietnam. They are owls, known for their wisdom. I wore them with this outfit as they work well, adding another dimension to an otherwise unembellished look.

Personal fashion to me is something that is fun, expressive and filled with endless opportunities. With this look, its about uncovering fashion flair as I begin to uncover my  style story.
