I couldn’t contain my excitement when I was invited to spend A Night at the Palace. The Palace is a 5 star hotel, located in Sun City. Here’s a look at my adventure and what you can expect while visiting.
Arriving at the Palace, we were greeted and personally shown to reception for check-in, while our car was taken care of by the valet. The luxurious room was spacious, with a look and feel that is authentic to the Sun City resort. I had the Nespresso machine make me a cup of coffee and jumped onto the bed.
We had lunch at Plume, a contemporary restaurant at the Palace where we enjoyed the tuna tarter starter and goats cheese risotto as the main. Although I am not a fan of tuna, I really enjoyed this dish.
After lunch, a treatment at the Gatsby spa awaited us, where I opted for a hand and foot massage. The relaxing hour showcased their award-winning standards.
We headed back to our room to dress for drinks at the Tusk Bar. Sipping champagne on the plush couches made for a great place to decompress before dinner.
Dinner was served at The Grill Room, which offers guests a luxurious take on a hearty dining experience that is matched by great service.
Robes and nougat were set on the bed when we returned to the room. A hot shower and movie brought the day to a very comfy close.
We awoke to a breakfast spread. Admittedly, we went slightly over-board, but I know Sun City’s breakfasts to be incredible and this did not disappoint. After eating more than I should have, we left for our day’s adventure at the resort’s Valley of the Waves.
To get there we passed through Time’s Square (which is where we’d also return to for a late lunch at Nando’s). We spent most of the day lazing in the sun at the adult-only (and clothing optional) pool in a private gazebo.
Thank you to @_yusrah_ for the amazing company and photos xx
